MADISON (WKOW) -- A woman has been arrested after a man was shot and killed on Madison's north side Wednesday night.
Tamar Brianna Beasley was booked into the Dane County Jail Thursday morning. She's tentatively charged with first-degree intentional homicide.
Officers responded to the 1900 block of Northport Drive around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday for a report that someone had been shot.
Officers located a man in his 30s who had been shot in the chest, police reported. The victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. By 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, the victim died.
The case number of Beasley's arrest report matches the case number on a news release sent by the Madison Police Department regarding the shooting on Northport Drive.
