MADISON (WKOW) -- The Madison Fire Department says a fire at a pole barn Friday evening closed down portions of Mineral Point Rd. for a time.
UWPD said the fire was at 8502 Mineral Point Road, the West Madison Agricultural Research Station at UW-Madison.
The call came in just after 6 p.m. Friday. At least part of the building collapsed. The barn, shed and several farm implements were destroyed.
No one was hurt.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Crews remained on scene overnight to put out hot spots.
