MADISON (WKOW) -- A man was found dead at a park on State Street in Madison Monday evening.
Madison police officers were dispatched after a man in his sixties was found unresponsive in Peace Park. People in the area reported that a man had been feeling unwell earlier in the day and decided to lay down in the park.
People called for help around 7:20 p.m. when they were unable to awake the man.
He was pronounced dead at the park. The cause of death is unknown.
A spokesperson for MPD said nothing suspicious was located at the scene.
