VILLAGE OF WINDSOR, Wis. (WKOW) -- Two people are dead after a three-vehicle crash in the Village of Windsor Sunday.
According to Lieutenant Jonathan Triggs, Dane County Sheriff's deputies responded at 11:19 a.m., along with units from Deforest Police Department, Wisconsin State Patrol and Deforest Fire and EMS. It happened on U.S Highway 51 in the Village of Windsor.
The preliminary investigation shows two cars were driving northbound on US-51, when one of the cars hit the other one and pushed it into the southbound lane. That vehicle was then hit by another vehicle.
The 23-year-old was died at the scene and a 23-year-old passenger was pronounced dead at the hospital. They were in the vehicle pushed into the southbound lane.
Their identities will be released by the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office at a later date.
