STRONGS PRAIRIE, Wis. (WKOW) — Police have arrested a Friendship man in connection with the murders of a woman and her adult son in the Town of Strongs Prairie.
The Adams County Sheriff's Office says Cory A. Beck, 38, was arrested Thursday on tentative charges of first-degree intentional homicide (two counts) and hiding a corpse (two counts). Beck is currently in the Adams County Jail waiting for his first court appearance.
The homicides happened in June. Sharon Miller-Robinson, 62, and her son, Jami Lumby, 37, were both found dead at their home.
In a press conference held Friday, Sheriff Brent York said Beck had known the victims for some time.
An autopsy conducted at the University of Madison-Wisconsin revealed Miller-Robinson and Lumby both died from blunt force trauma to the head.
York said numerous items that could have been the murder weapon have been collected and are still being analyzed.
Beck's DNA was found on "numerous evidentiary items at the scene," York said, adding that no other DNA profiles were present with the exception of the victims.
Officials have not identified a potential motive for the killings, nor why the FBI was involved in the case.
Beck has a bail hearing scheduled for Monday afternoon.
